Treemont Nursing Home Admissions Director Discusses Aging

Matt Patrick welcomes Taylor Miner, Admissions Director of Treemont Health Care Center, to discuss what happens now that the life expectancy that has gone up. Miner explains how to be prepared enough.


Taylor Miner (far right) dispels the negative view of nursing homes and explains how residents can get top quality care and quality of life if they choose the right nursing home community.  At far left is Administrator Sherion Schroeder.  Center is Senior Allegiance Home Care Administrator Anne Marie Robinson.  

One of Treemont's strengths is it's rehabilitation program that emphasizes residents completing their therapy so they can return to the life they led before their injury.  Many Health Care Center residents return to their homes or move to Treemont's Independent Living campus where they can  live in a more supportive environment that includes 3 meals daily, weekly housekeeping, transportation to scheduled doctor's appointment and shopping, a robust activiteis program and more.   Click to listen to Taylor's interview 



We are delighted that KTRH invited Taylor to share her expertise on nursing homes in Houston.  As you heard, Taylor grew up in a crib in nursing home as her Mom is a long-time administrator, so her expertise dates back a number of years!
