Many of you recognize Medication Aide Myrtle Evita Lambert who administers medication daily to our residents and reports changes.

A key Senior Allegiance PAS Program is Medication Management. The most basic program is for a resident to be reminded twice daily to take their pills. A more robust plan involves the “management” of the program: prescription refills; taking vital signs; coordinating with doctors if there is an issue with the resident’s vital signs; and delivery of the pharmacy prescription to the resident.

Administrator Karina Walker says, “Myrtle is a hard working employee that is always willing to help her teammates in need, as well in as work extra shifts when needed. Myrtle is very caring and prompt to providing care to our clients.”

Myrtle grew up in Inglewood, California, with 3 brothers and 2 sisters and moved to Houston with her parents who are now deceased. Unfortunately her daughter also passed in 2010. After high school, Myrtle graduated as a medical assistant where she did private duty work for 8 years, most recently at The Medallion. Says Myrtle, “Working with seniors has taught me how to be patient and appreciate life for what it is.” She loved working with Walter Neidert because he provided insights on many residents at Treemont.
