Employees are key to providing top quality care and creating a trust with residents. Ronnisha, Dupree, the Lead CNA for Senior Allegiance Home Care embodies the qualities we want in our staff: confidence, commitment, concern and a love for both employees and residents. Ronnisha serves as the second in command to Personal Assistance Service (PAS) Coordinator Cindy Harrell.
Says Cindy, “Ronnisha works hard every day, hand and hand with me to keep the floor running smoothly. When I’m not in the office I have no worries because I know she’s there putting her best foot forward.” Residents need care, but the caregivers also need to know they are appreciated and supported in their work. “Ronnisha is proactive with the care attendants and residents…The love and concern she brings is amazing. Ronnissha makes sure the attendants get their daily updates each morning on new/existing resident service changes…I appreciate the hard work and great job she does,” says Cindy.
Residents move to a senior independent living community with the desire to stay independent as long as possible. Treemont introduced the concept of “Independence Plus” on our campus. Seniors who need help with activities of daily living can receive PAS and Medicare home health services in their apartment instead of moving to a licensed assisted living facility. Senior Allegiance is the “Plus” in Independence Plus.”
Ronnisha joined the Senior Allegiance team a year ago as a part-time CNA, and became the lead CNA in November 2017. Ronnisha helps residents get dressed, delivers or escorts them to meals and other activities, gives them showers and provides companionship.
Previously, she worked for Godiva Chocolate. She was attracted to Senior Allegiance because: “The environment was clean, the residents and employees are nice and they always speak to you,” says Ronnisha. “I like working with seniors because I’m a caring person who loves to help anyone in need. I used to help my little cousin all the time and just want the residents to be happy—just like I am.”
Ronnisha moved with her “awesome and outgoing mom” from Monroe as a toddler. She loves listening to music and watching TV shows. Please make sure to waive to Ronnisha was you pass her in the hallway and let her know we appreciate her service to our Treemont residents. Questions?
