I knew that I wanted to be a nurse ever since I was in high school,” says Simone. In 2011 my grandfather passed away from cancer and while we were sitting in the hospital with him during his last days, the nurses were always so attentive and nurturing to my whole family. I knew from that moment forward that I wanted to work with the senior community. I wanted to show them that same love and compassion that my grandfather and family was showed during those hard times.

Simone received her Licensed Vocational Nurse certificate in 2013, and worked as a charge nurse, a unit manager and assistant director of nurses. “I decided I wanted to do more for myself, and I went back to school to become a registered nursed in 2018.“ Simone has previously worked at Memorial City Health and Rehabilitation as well as Legend Oaks Northwest. What brought Simone to Treemont as ADON? “One of the wonderful doctors in the facility actually told me about Treemont, stating that I would be a great fit for the company. I came over to have an interview and I loved the company from the moment I walked through the door,” says Simone.

Simone has a passion for working with seniors. “I had a patient who was pleasantly confused who would always compliment me and only wanted me to work with her saying that I was her new daughter. I enjoyed working with her everyday she enjoyed putting puzzles together and I would always buy her new puzzles and help her put them together.  Simone is married and enjoys watching Big Brother on CBS, swimming and travel to foreign countries, including Belgium, Italy, Paris, London, Amsterdam. “My favorite place by far would have to be Paris, France.  I loved the fashion forwardness of the country and the overall welcoming ambiance in the atmosphere.’
