Nursing Homes in Houston: Spotlight on Administrator Cynthia Lamison

Administrator Cynthia Lamison took the helm of our nursing, rehabilitation and assisted living program on campus in May 2018. We are delighted that Cynthia will bring her many talents to Treemont Health Care Center (HCC). Cynthia brings to Treemont a strong clinical skills background and customer service orientation. This will reinforce Treemont’s focus on top quality patient care. Cynthia_nursing homes in houston_smaller

For the past 3 years, Cynthia has been Corporate Director of Resident Care for Retirement Center Management, overseeing the clinical care for 13 facilities. Cynthia has also held Administrator/Executive Director positions for home health care and independent living communities and has served as an ADON at a nursing facility.

Early in her career, Cynthia was Director of Treemont’s Assisted Living facility. Many of you will recognize Cynthia as she has stayed connected to the Treemont Campus in her role as a nurse for Senior Allegiance on weekends, providing care for many of our Treemont assisted living residents.

“My entire career has been based around improving the quality of life for seniors. I have extensive experience in the long term care industry and have made many lasting relationships both personally and professionally. says Cynthia. I am committed to remaining compassionate and sensitive to the needs and emotions of our aging population.”

Treemont Health Care Center is a key part of Treemont’s continuum of care campus. Cynthia works closely with Executive Director Rodney Brooks to support the health and rehabilitation of Treemont independent living (IL) residents. Treemont is proud of its successful Rehab Program. Through hard work and encouragement, the team successfully returns residents to their independent living apartment. A recent successful rehab story is the return of Chuck Stone from nursing to assisted living to his independent living apartment. HCC takes great pride in helping residents get stronger and return to an independent lifestyle. Stay tuned for the next “HCC Rehab Certificate of Achievement Program Awards” this summer. The first awards ceremony was on February 20th and 10 residents received recognition.

Treemont holds a special place in Cynthia’s heart. She is happy to be back on campus on a full-time basis in a leadership role. “Despite being at a Regional Level, I wanted to stay connected to patient care. That is why I chose to care for Treemont’s assisted living residents in my ‘spare time!’ says Cynthia. “I am also getting my RN license to have this extra level of knowledge to guide our care team.” Cynthia will complete her RN BSN in December 2019.

Treemont Health Care Center is distinguished by: (1) its therapy program; (2) its caring staff; and (3) its small, intimate environment. Cynthia is warm and approachable.
