A key benefit of having Senior Allegiance as Treemont’s Preferred Provider Home Care agency is that this home health care company can arrange to have its patients seen by a doctor at Treemont. Senior Allegiance has long used Dr. Zaharia for Treemont doctor visits, with Senior Allegiance's Sheila Quia providing support for these visits. With a growing community, we are pleased to announce that Senior Allegiance has secured another outstanding physician to do doctor visits on campus.
Dr. Ahmed, a native Houstonian and graduate of Univeristy of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, completed her residency and fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She is board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics, and palliative care. Dr. Ahmed was formerly Associate Professor at the McGovern Medical School in the Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine where she was medical director of their inpatientACE (Acute Care of the Elderly) Unit and was heavily involved in grant funded research as well as nursing and physician education, locally, nationally, and internationally.
