Dance to the haunting tunes of the 40’s music you remember and loved so well against a sparkling backdrop city lights and NYC silhouettes.  This Black and White event will feature the 18 piece orchestra, Lone Star Big Band, led by band leader Bill Braun.

Heights Sunday School Class Volunteers from Second Baptist Church will partner with Treemont Retirement Community to create this magical,    memorable evening. Members of Second Baptist will, once again, help to create the fun, fantasy and festive mood Treemont resident’s have come to know and love  from events they’ve helped us to create.   A group of 35-50 single volunteers of Second Baptist has sponsored two  previous Treemont dances: a Sock Hop (see pictures above) and a Western Dance. This group does community outreach and has adopted Treemont because they find Treemont residents’ fascinating life stories inspirational.

This dance theme will be Black and White attire and decorations.   The evening will be elegant with music that transports you back to an era when life was simpler, cares would melt away to the tunes of Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, The Mills Brothers,  Harry James, to name a few.
