Treemont is blessed to have so many wonderful employees. It’s a pleasure to feature Lupe Sepulveda, who exemplifies the warmth, values and dedication to resident happiness so valued in Treemont employees. Lupe is known to residents who have lived at this retirement home for a year or less, as she started working there in January 2014. However, longer-time residents may not have had the opportunity to meet Lupita Guadalupe Sepulveda, affectionately called, “Lupe.”
While technically Lupe is the “Resident Coordinator,” due to her vast experience in the Senior Living industry, Lupe also serves as a “backup” to Executive Director Rodney Brooks when he’s out of the office, Lupe has been in the senior apartment industry for about 27 years. During this time, she has “done it all,” including housekeeper, maintenance, bookkeeper, activity director, leasing consultant, assistant manager and property manager. Lupe says,
“I love it all but my biggest passion is leasing — finding that perfect apartment that our resident can call ‘HOME.’ It’s a thrill to see the big smile on a resident’s face when they walk into their new apartment.”
Lupe was born in San Antonio, Texas, attending Thomas Jefferson High School. Lupe has been married for 31 years to her lovely husband Jose Alfredo Sepulveda Sr. Together they have one son and one grandson, who is her pride and joy. Lupe also comes from a large family of 12, all of whom live in San Antonio, 3 brothers and 8 sisters (one deceased). Lupe is very close to her Dad who is extremely proud of the many awards she has received in her career.
Lupe, along with Linda Parra (formerly from the Front Desk), is responsible for successful new move-ins. This means making sure the new resident receives their dining room table assignment, introducing them to their housekeeper, among other tasks that ensure a successful move-in. Lupe understands that late-life transitions can be difficult and makes sure to visit new residents to check that they are getting settled and that their needs are being met.
Resident $1,000 Referral Program. The best source of referrals is from satisfied residents. Most folks want to refer their friends and family to join them in their new senior living community. If you have a friend or family member, please contact Lupe or Linda in the Front Office at 713-783-6820. Treemont offers a $1,000 discount off the referring resident’s rent, after the new resident has resided at the continuinig care retirement community for 3 months. The referral fee qualifies if the resident visits with Lupe or Linda and notifies them that their friend “Mary Smith” will be touring the community. Alternatively, if a prospect comes in and makes a note on the initial Inquiry Card that a specific resident referred them, that also counts as a referral. It does not qualify if you bump into a friend that is touring this retirement home in Houston.
