Treemont Creates Food and Dining Video to Enhance Resident Dining Experience for Assisted Living Houston Community
We all know that food is necessary to survive, but at Treemont our artisan crafted meals and top notch staff create an unforgettable dining adventure! Food is also the top item people comment on in customer satisfaction surveys at retirement communities. At Treemont Retirement Community, there are 3 opportunities daily, 7 days a week, to delight its residents. Treemont has always been known for its three tasty, home-cooked meals. Treemont Food Service Director James Renshaw, who has vast experience in healthcare nutrition as well as fine dining, joined the Treemont team this past year. Because food service and great customer service is so important, he decided to create a video, “Make a Positive Impact Daily in Residents’ Lives,” to refresh current and new staff on the key role they play in providing the best possible dining experience for Treemont residents.
The video is designed to introduce and reinforce our wait staff to the important role they have in serving Treemont residents. The video displays how to successfully interact with senior residents so they are better positioned — as a new or current employee — to successfully perform their job in creating the ultimate dining experience. It covers the following topics: (1) Defining Great Customer Service; (2) Systems & Procedures; and (3) Duties & Responsibilities.
Among the topics covered are: how to positively interact with residents; best practices on delivering the meal to residents; and key systems to enhance the dining room presentation.
“We want to do everything we can to enhance our residents’ dining experience and in turn their overall well-being,” says Chef James Renshaw. “We understand that food is a key element of why residents choose a retirement community. We hope prospective residents will sample our cuisine while visiting our property, so we can show them how great life at Treemont can be!”
