The Appeal of Treemont
In their own words....
Doris: This is just a wonderful place. We just find everything we love. We love the food here. We think it’s really good. We love the entertainment they have for us here. There’s a little bit of everything here. So I think everyone can be satisfied here. All the help here is wonderful. So much of the help has been here forever and ever and so you know what good help they are, they just stay here and the keep them, they want to keep all their help. I can say just lots of good things about this place. And we think this is the best location in Houston in all of Houston. We are close to all of the townhouses and anything you want is close by. Everybody is accommodating. And we really do think Treemont is the best place in Houston.
Ed: I like the people here. The staff is nice here, wonderful, helpful. The residents are all friendly and nice. The foodhere is not the Waldorf -Astoria but is good wholesome food. The service is great, it's wonderful. Everything about Treemont is is good as far as I can tell.
Jeanne: Everybody is just so nice around here, everyone, every single person that is on staff. Joanne does such a nice job with the dining room. I like the fact that you sit down and you get a fresh napkin every time and tablecloth. Everything is brand new. It’s very nice. And if you want to you can go through the line and if you want to pretend you’re in a really lovely restaurant, you can send your order in.
Susie: I think really the food is as good as you can hope to get any place. When I have a cold and I don’t want to expose other people, I just call down and have them send food up to my room. So I’m covered. I’m very pleased to be here.
Jeanne: The staff is wonderful. I just maybe think maybe they take happy pills every day, ha ha! I’ve been there two and a half years and I can’t find anyone who wasn’t pleasant and kind and helpful. So I’ve told other people I at long last I’ve at long last found a wife, a really good wife, who takes care of my house and takes care of my food and takes care of those things. In addition to that , there’s a husband kind of thing that goes along that takes care of all of the outdoors and makes everything lovely. One day I was writing an email to someone, and I said you know, someone is cleaning my house right now, and someone else is cooking my lunch and someone else will I guess will do the dishes.
George: Don’t go any further. Come right here. I’ll be your propaganda represensentative to everybody I see. When I go to the VA and they ask where I staying. I say Treemont. I tell them, the people are fine, the place is big, we get 3 meals a day, and we always have something going on. No reason to lay up in the room and suffer or be lonesome.
Helen: I have made friends since I’ve been here. I’m very pleased, very happy. I have a nice big apartment. It’s two bedrooms.

Gene: I walked into Treemont on day, I heard about it. Honestly, I walked into the dining room and said; my God this is it, that’s what sold us on it.
Ray and Paula Jageman: We’ve been here coming on 2 years now and we’ve enjoyed it a lot. We think it’s extremely well run and well operated. All of the staff and the management take extremely good care of us —far better I think than we deserve. But we like it, so we’ll keep it.
Helen: I enjoy going to the dining room 3 times a day. I think the most important thing is just being around people. Some people don’t come down to eat 3 times a day. They say they’re not hungry. If they aren’t hungry, let them come down sit at the the table and just drink a cup of coffee and visit and be around people. I think that’s very important.
Lois: I’ve been here for three years now. And I have a lovely apartment that’s affordable. I really enjoy the surroundings here. The people are pleasant and delightful and there’s such diversity of people that I never would have been exposed to in my old life. So I’ve enjoyed that tremendously. There’s everything I need under this roof but I can certainly go out any time I choose, and I do. But I could be fine here without that. But the main thing is, I think the people here, they seem to have an ethic...they seem to have the idea they are here to make me happy and to meet my every needs. If I have a light bulb that burns out, I just pick up the phone and call the office.
